The Individual Sport Development Grant (ISDG) program supports Noosa Shire residents who have been selected to represent Queensland or Australia at recognised national or international sporting competitions. The program provides financial assistance to help offset costs associated with competing at a national or international level. Through this initiative, Noosa Council seeks to encourage sporting excellence, foster community pride, and promote the achievements of local athletes on state, national and international stages.

The Individual Sport Development Grant program is governed by Noosa Council’s Community Grants Policy. You must read the program guidelines thoroughly to confirm your eligibility and to understand the application requirements.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an ISDG, applicants must:

  • Have been selected to represent Queensland at a national level sporting competition, or Australia at an international level sporting competition, by a recognised State Sporting Organisation (SSO) or National Sporting Organisation (NSO), endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission or School Sport Australia
  • Be a permanent resident of the Noosa Shire for at least 12 months prior to the application date
  • Have successfully acquitted any previous Council grants
