The Regional Arts Development Fund is delivered as a partnership between the Queensland Government and Noosa Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

The objectives of Council’s RADF program is to support arts and cultural activities that:

  • Increase access to arts and cultural experiences in the Noosa region
  • Grow employment and capacity building opportunities for artists
  • Deliver against Noosa Council’s arts and cultural priorities and promote the value of arts, culture and heritage

Eligibility

As per the RADF grant guidelines, to be eligible to apply for funding you must:

  • Employ artists in the proposed activity
  • Have an active ABN (or an auspice)
  • Have a bank account in the name of the legal entity
  • Have appropriate insurances
  • Have no debt to Council, or have an active payment arrangement with Council
  • Have successfully acquitted any previous Council grants

Superannuation

Important Information 

Under Australian superannuation legislation, superannuation may be payable for some sole traders and individual contractors engaged through a funded project, even where the person holds an ABN. Noosa Council is required to assess whether engaged contractors may be considered a "deemed employee" for Superannuation Guarantee purposes. 

As the lead applicant, you are responsible for ensuring that your project budget includes any superannuation costs that may apply to yourself and any sole traders or individual contractors engaged through the project. Grant funds may be used to cover eligible superannuation expenses where required.

If your application is successful, Council may request additional information about contractors engaged as part of your project to determine whether superannuation contributions are payable.

Will any part of the grant funding be used to engage a sole trader or individual contractor to provide services? If yes, please provide details of the role(s) and estimated fees in your project budget. * Required
Examples include artists, facilitators, performers, producers, consultants, technicians, designers, photographers, or other individuals providing services under an ABN.
Do you, or any sole trader or individual contractor engaged as part of this project, hold a current ATO Superannuation Guarantee High Income Exemption Certificate? If yes, attach in support material. * Required
A Superannuation Guarantee High Income Exemption Certificate may be issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to eligible high-income earners. If an exemption certificate applies, Council may request a copy as part of its assessment process.
